Rodger Thompson of Condon, Montana, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on April 18th, 2018. Rodger was an entrepreneur, having owned many various businesses, one being a world renowned violin shop for many years in Indianapolis, Indiana. Rodger’s heart was always drawn to the majestic mountains of Montana where he lived for many years enjoying his passion of hunting, horses, guitar playing, leather working, canoeing, and enjoying God’s amazing creation all around him. Rodger was a Marine for six years active duty. He was a Long Range National Champion High Power Rifle Master.
Rodger is survived by the love of his life, Katie Wright, his daughter Donna Baldinell, grand-daughter Isabelle Baldinell, son Rodger A. Thompson, and grand-daughter Emma Thompson.
Rodger never knew a stranger and touched the lives of all those who knew him. He will be greatly missed! A celebration of Rodger’s life and a Marine Corps Flag Ceremony will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Condon Community Hall, Condon, MT.
