Timothy Dalton

Timothy Bruce Dalton, age 78, of Bigfork, Montana passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to a great man that touched so many people and their lives.  Timothy Bruce Dalton, was born in Tremonton, Utah in 1940 to Arnold and Marrietta Dalton.  He joined three older brothers, Jack, Newell and Lee.  His baby sister Sharon arrived later.  Tim spent his childhood on the family Sugar Beet Farm. Tim had a hoe in his hand at an early age.  This instilled a work ethic that he carried with him throughout his life.  He was an incredible example of what can be achieved through hard work.

In his early teens, he joined his older brothers in Montana to work at a sawmill in the Yaak.  It was in Troy, MT, that he met his wife of 62 years, Lola Bellmore.  Tim and Lola made their home in Bigfork and raised their three sons.

Tim was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many positions.  He loved his community and reached out and served.

Many will remember Tim from his years at the local lumber and hardware store.  He loved the lumber business and the many relationships he developed.  Many of his customers became lifelong friends and part of the family. He became an expert in all the trades, as he learned from his clients. He could do anything. One of his greatest loves was being able to work beside his grandchildren at the Lumberyard.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Tim was predeceased by his parents, brothers Jack and Newell.  He is survived by his wife, Lola, sons Tim L. (JR) and Su Dalton, Zack and Kellie Dalton, Jason and Annette Dalton, 10 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, his brother Lee Dalton and his sister, Sharon Mitton, numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be at Darlington Funeral Home, 3408 Hwy 2 E, Kalispell, Friday, December 6 from 6-8:00 pm.  Services will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 121 Crestview Drive, Bigfork, MT on Saturday, at 10:00 am.

The family suggests memorials to the Schneidmiller Hospice Home, 2902 W. Prairie Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
