Willetta Anna Boehm Obituary

Willetta Anna Boehm, age 86. of Kalispell, Montana passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at BeeHive Homes in Kalispell. She was born and raised in Richardton, ND. Willie graduated in 1951 from Dickinson H.S., Dickinson, ND.  She went to school as well for Telephone Operator Schooling, Cake Decorating at Flathead Community College.  Joseph Boehm, who was serving in the US Army while he was on leave in ND, asked Willetta to marry him.  They were married on August 28th, 1951 in Tacoma, WA. After Joe’s discharge, they returned to North Dakota to work on the family farm. In the mid – 1950s Joe and Willie, moved to Montana. She worked as the Marion Postmaster for 24 years and owned and operated Marion General Store with Joe for 12 years. Prior to this they operated a service station. She was a member of National League of Postmasters and a 4-H Leader. 

Willie is preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Boehm, daughter, LaDonna Hodge and grandson Patrick Hodge.  She is survived by her children, Debra Engelhard (Dennis), Gregory Boehm (Christine), Delane Steiner (Charles), Michele Glazier (Harold), Dan Hodge (Argelia) and grandchildren: Andrea, Lisa, Ethan, Casey, Chanz, Paige, Quinn, Jonathan, and Cody, As well as fourteen great-grandchildren.

Her life will be celebrated at a funeral service on Friday March 15th, 2019 at 12 Noon and Trinity Lutheran Church, Kalispell, MT.  A visitation will begin 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Pastor Mark Cutler will officiate.

Memorial contributions are encouraged in her name to the Montana Alzehimers Association, or memorial of your choice.
