Christopher "Chris" M. Johnston

Christopher M. Johnston 43, of Kalispell, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Logan Health Medical Center.

Christopher was born in Pennsylvania; he was the son of the late James and Barbara (Carlson) Drexel.

Christopher was a devoted, active member of the community with the South Kalispell Fire Department for over 20-plus years, attaining the rank of assistant chief.

Christopher is survived by his wife, Krystl McKay, and son, Skylr Mckay, as well as many friends and family of Kalispell. He is survived by his brother, David Drexel, and his wife, Adrienne Drexel, as well as nephew, David, and niece, Kayla, of Pennsylvania.

In these hard times, the family would like to show their grateful appreciation to the South Kalispell Fire Department, Darlington Mortuary and the many friends and family who have shown their concern and have been there to assist in any way possible.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the South Kalispell Fire Department in Chris' name, P.O. Box 621, Kalispell, Montana 59901.

A celebration of life will be held, Aug. 1 at 1 p.m. at the Flathead County Fairgrounds. A reception will be held afterwards. The South Kalispell Fire Association will provide the main dish and beverages. Feel free to bring your favorite side dish to share.
