Connie Hallmark Obituary

The good Lord called Connie Jean Hallmark home Wednesday, April 24, 2024. She was born November 30, 1950 in Trona, California to George Cecil Allen and Glenn Rose Barrett. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Patsy LeBourgeois. She is survived by her brother, Cheyenne Allen of Lakeside, Montana, son Edmond (Ed) Hallmark and wife Mitzi of Nocona, daughter Tammie Hallmark and Ketti McClanahan of Nocona, grandchildren Mykka Vara of Little Elm, Montana Baird and husband Matt of Springtown, and Joshua Hallmark. She had one great grandson, Zachariah Vara. She was blessed by one great granddaughter, Meadow Baird, and one on the way, Oakley Baird. Connie was a giving, caring and God-fearing woman. She absolutely loved gardening, making afghans for her family and anyone that asked, and playing games. She was a moral compass for her family. She never wavered on her testimony of receiving Christ as her Lord and Savior. Connie was always available for a phone call to just talk about anything and everything. Having two kids in the military for over 40 years, she always said made her a prayer warrior for all service men and women, often hugging each one she met or saw in uniform. Connie read her Bible to her kids everyday when they were young. It was an old King James Version that fell apart many years ago. Every page had years of notes and every color of highlighter on the color chart. She certainly would correct her son, daughter, daughter-in-law and grandkids when it was necessary, reminding them of the mercy and grace Jesus provides.
