On Oct. 2, 2025, Dave Brotnov, 87, passed away after a short fight with internal cancer.
Dave met the love of his life, Sharon, as a youth. Dave and Sharon were married in 1959. The couple had two children, Jennie and Scott. In 1990, the first of four grandchildren was born. In 2010, Dave and Sharon became great-grandparents. At the time of his death, Dave was a great-grandparent to six.
Dave served in the U.S. Army, worked as an oil and gas salesman, and eventually bought and ran his own gas station convenience store outside of Columbia Falls. Dave and Sharon ran the Junction Gas for 32 years. Dave was also active in Lions Club, American Legion, and Masons — including Scottish Rite.
A remembrance of Dave’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 15 at the United Methodist Church in Columbia Falls, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family invites contributions to the American Cancer Society.
