David Henke

David S. Henke, 63, of Kalispell passed away on November 4th, 2025 with his fur baby Stella by his side. He was born August 10th 1963 in Petersburg Alaska to Marion and Mary (Mina) Henke. David grew up in Alaska enjoying all the wonders Alaska had to offer. At 18 he moved to Portland Oregon to attend college. He graduated with both Paramedic and respiratory therapist degrees. He worked in Oregon as an EMT and Neo Natal ambulance Tech until moving to Kalispell in 2005.

Soon after moving, he met the love of his life while working at Kalispell regional Medical Center (AKA Logan Health). First dates Consisted of races to the cafeteria to see who made it to order dinner first. Niki always won! David married Nikolette (Niki) Elletson on May 17th 2007. David and Niki shared many adventures together. They loved fishing, hiking, and camping in far off places and driving as far as the gas tank would take them, or until the car broke down.

David and Niki were never blessed with children, but they built a loving family with numerous pets over the years. Stella, Louise, and Lucky will forever miss their papa. David valued many things in life. His family and friends were always his proudest accomplishments. No matter what was going on in life, he always made time for those he loved. Especially his best friends Jon and Dennis. It was always an amazing adventure when they got together.

David is survived by his wife Niki, their fur babies Stella, Louie, and Lucky. His sister Christine, numerous aunts, uncles, and other family members spread across the US. In lieu of flower please make a donation in Davids name to Flathead County Animal Shelter or the Human society of NW Montana. A celebration of David's life will take place 2pm, Tuesday, November 11th, at Darlington Cremation and Burial Service, 3408 Hwy 2 E, Kalispell MT.
