Donald (Don) R. Forrest, age 83, of Big Fork, Montana, went home to his Lord on July 22, 2023. His beloved daughter Suzy Trivette and best friend Pete Carson have comforted Don at his residence in his final days of life. Don was born on January 4, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland, and was the son of Carroll and Marion (Strobel) Forrest.
He graduated from Catonsville High School in Maryland. In great faith and support of his country, Don served with honor in the United States Coast Guard. Ultimately, he followed his love of the great outdoors and moved to Big Fork, Montana, where he has lived most of his life. Don loved his family, best friend Pete, God, his country and the open spaces of Montana -- where he felt free.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Dalton Streve, and nephews Timothy Forrest and Mark Forrest.
Surviving him are his beautiful and loving daughter Suzy (Forrest) Trivette and her husband Kenny, his brother Wayne Forrest and his wife Dolores of Catonsville, Maryland, and his sister Marlene L (Forrest) Barger and her husband Robertn of Lake Placid, Florida.
Don’s gentle nature and independent spirit will be missed. He lived his life to the fullest and loved his daughter Suzy. He has joined his heavenly Father and the waiting arms of his loving parents. Praise the Lord that his gentle soul is now at peace.
