Eric Steeg

On September 23, 2022 Eric E. Steeg passed away at the age of 57 after a battle lost against cancer. Eric was a transplant of 22 years to Montana where his soul knew he always belonged. He spent his leisure time camping, fishing and golfing… and most memorably making his family and friends laugh. He not only lit up a room when he told a story, he filled that room and took you on the journey with him. His laugh was contagious and burst from a happy place deep inside making everyone laugh around him. Eric was a creative and extremely talented wood craftsman. He could design and build anything you could describe with incomparable excellence. He took great pride in even the smallest attention to details in all phases of cabinetry, furniture creations and every project he committed to was beautifully finished. Much of his free time was spent remodeling with a constant vision of making a welcoming and unique home with his own hands.

Eric is survived by Marie Lewis, his constant companion of 22 years, camping and fishing buddy, and his unwavering partner in this crazy world. He is also survived by his family; his Mother Murielle, Brother Normand, Nieces Katherine and Julia, and Kristina his Sister In Heart. And finally, by his Sister Ruth, Nephews Shaun and Jesse, Nieces Lyndi, Lauren and Layton..and their families and children too. Eric’s father Jerry passed before him. He will be remembered by everyone who knew him, and greatly missed by those who love him. He left a legacy of laughter and joy to all of us. A very special thank you to everyone who supported him and his family, either in thoughts, prayers or in person during this difficult time.
