Gary Gudmundson

Gary Gudmundson, 80, born March 5, 1945, in Miles City to Pat and Darrel Gudmundson, passed away on March 24, 2025.

He graduated from Custer County High School in 1963, Miles City Community College in 1965 and University of Montana in 1967. After graduation, he worked for Seattle First National Bank in Seattle and Wenatchee, Washington.

He married Sandra Madsen in 1968. In 1973, they moved to Kalispell to start their own sign painting business. Gary raced stock cars and restored classic cars. He was an incredible artist, a writer, and remarkably talented in so many ways.

Surviving Gary is his wife, Sandra, son, Steve in Kalispell and daughter, Stacy Newell and husband Mark, of Vancouver, Washington. Two grandchildren, Delaney and Kennedy Newell; and two brothers, Gene of White Sulphur Springs and Alan of Sparta, Wisconsin, also survive Gary.

A private family service will be held.
