Gary Ryan

Gary Franklin Ryan was born in Billings on June 12, 1945, to Shirley and Jack Ryan. He attended schools in Billings and graduated from what is now the University of Montana. He soon settled in Kalispell, where he appraised properties and was affiliated with Glacier Bank.

He was interested in photography and had more than ample beauty in the Flathead Valley to explore. He enjoyed hiking and skiing in the early days with Pamela Duchesneux, whom he married in August 1985! Her brother, Ferd, and his wife, Rose, more recently have been instrumental in lovingly facilitating the life changes for Pam and Gary.

Sadly, Gary passed away on Aug. 30, 2025. 

He survived by Pam of Kalispell; his sister, Cathy Bower; nieces, Cristin Markovich (Bob) of Billings and Caralee Bower and her son, Wiley of Vashon, Washington. 

Gary was the best brother and a good father figure. We all benefited from his sense of humor and gentle guidance. He will be greatly missed.
