All the world was Margaritaville on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. On that warm, summer’s day,
Gary L. Steffen, The Man, The Myth, The Legend, met up with the gambler and Heaven will never be the same.
At the age of 77, this man, who was not only a beloved husband, father, grand-father, great-grand father, uncle, brother, and friend, but he was someone who knew what it meant to experience every moment and live in the moment with a smile on his face, a beer in his hand, and a story to tell. Every person he touched was a friend for life, never knowing a stranger. Along with the many accolades/accomplishments, Gary earned over his lifetime, such as a University of Cincinnati Graduate, Marketing Executive at CSI Leasing and known as the “CSI Legend”. Member of Shriners and The Elk Foundation, and Patient Advocate at MD Anderson. It was “The Man’s” personality that will live on and although we would like to put this into words, there is not enough space in this announcement to even begin to describe Gary Steffen I, other than “Bigger than Life.”
In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, farming, and connecting with anyone who would sit and have a beer sharing stories. He was a teacher and always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Theresa, their children & spouses: Shelley & John, Shari & Bill, Gary & Christine, Michael & Brittany, and Brittany & Nolan. In addition, his sister Nancy (Bill) and Gary’s (12) grandchildren: John, Evan, Hope, Zach, Ethan, Mackenzie, Jake, Madeline, Emma, Brilynn, Brinleigh, Elias, Millie, Hudson, and (3) great grandchildren: Quinn, JJ, Ivy-Jean.
