LaRayne (Lori) Oltz

LaRayne K Oltz, 79, of Whitefish, Montana, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.

Lori was born on November 28, 1946 in St. James Minnesota to Elmer and Kathryn Lunz. Lori's passion to serve, led to her to a life long career as a CRNA.

In spring of 1969, while at the Mayo Clinic, she met her best friend and the love of her life, Tafford. They married December 26, 1969, and spent the next 56 years hand in hand, finishing each others sentances, sharing loving pokes, and most of all, laughter.

Lori is survived by her loving husband, Taff Oltz, their children; TJ Oltz (Beth), Kim Schumann, Jen Weinard (Brad), Jeremy Oltz; Grandchildren; Jonathan Oltz (Kelsey), Alicia Oltz, Rebecca Shuck (Billy) Great Grandchildren; Rylee, Casey and Bradley. Siblings; Allan Lunz (Bruce Kauk) and Barb Lunz and her Griff pack;

Parazzi, Higgins and Pip.

Proceeded in death; her parents, Elmer and Kathryn (Ebbenga) Lunz; Brother, Donald Lunz Sister; Cheryl Hovik.

Our family can not fully express how deeply we are touched by the outpouring of love from extended family, friends, colleagues near and far, and the entire hospital team. We are forever grateful for the strength, compassion and grace you showed us.

Cremation services will be handled by Darlington Cremation and Burial Service.

The family will host a memorial service, to be set at a later date.
