Matthew William Gallwas passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 22, 2020 in Hungry Horse, Montana. Matt was born on September 1st, 1977 to William and Jorgi Gallwas in Lakewood, California. He was raised in Sparks, NV before relocating to Gold Beach, Oregon. It was here his life truly began. He thrived in being near water. You could often find him hunting for agates in the Rogue River. A few years after meeting Courtney they made the move to Bigfork, Montana. A lover of being outdoors, Matt fell in love with the Big Montana skies. It was here he would become a proud father. Spencer, Thatcher and Shepard were the light of his life and undoubtedly filled his last days with endless love and joy. Matthew was a very humble man. Cared for all he met and protected his family fiercely. He is proceeded in death by his father William Gallwas and his grandparents. He is survived by his beautiful boys Spencer (8), Thatcher (6) and Sheperd (2), all of Bigfork, Montana. His mother Jorgi Gallwas, (Fernley, NV) sisters Heather Price (Sparks, NV) and Victoria Glenn of Fernley, NV. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews he loved dearly. A celebration of life his life will be held at a later date.
It is with heavy hearts we say our goodbyes..
