Samantha Osborne Hudson, 53, born April 20, 1972, in Colorado Springs, passed away on June 20, 2025, after a four-year battle with cancer.
Samantha, or "Sam," was raised in Birmingham, Alabama, where she attended Shades Valley High School. In 1995, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samford University.
Sam was passionate about sharing her faith in Jesus and serving others within her home community and around the world. During college, she was a volunteer staff member with Young Life. Wherever she attended church, she enjoyed leading bible studies, hosting home groups, and participating in women's fellowships. Over the course of her life, she traveled extensively to serve on outreach teams in developing nations.
In 1998, Sam married John Hudson, an architect who shared her heart for international outreach. While working in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Birmingham, the couple was blessed with four daughters. In 2010, the Hudsons moved to Lakeside to serve as the campus architect for an international youth volunteer organization and founded 100-Fold Studio, a faith-based, nonprofit architecture firm. Sam served as the executive director, nurturing the organization from a small office into a multifaceted training institute in Montana, Cambodia, and the Himalayas that provides a training platform for architects to serve Christian ministries in the Flathead Valley and around the globe.
We will miss Sam's smile, laughter, hospitality, and fun-loving spirit. She was an ever-present cheerleader at her daughters' sports events, even during her years of chemotherapy. She was a faithful friend who had the gift of being able to listen well while being bold in her advice. She forever shaped the lives of her daughters, family, coworkers, and all who drew near to her. Sam treasured seeing people's lives transformed by the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband, John, and their children, Abigail, Anna, Alexandra, and Asher; her mother, Regina Osborne; and her siblings, Jill Thompson, Paxton Osborne, Ian Osborne, Kim (Clint) Talley, and Paula (Andy) Dill.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marshall Davis, her stepfather, Paul Osborne, and her brother, Shane Osborne.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Covenant Presbyterian Church in Kalispell on Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m. (mountain time). A link to a livestream may be found at www.facebook.com. A celebration of life will be held in Birmingham at 11 a.m. (central time) on August 9, at Shades Valley Community Church, located at 160 Oxmoor Rd.
